How to compare AI video models for your own task
Use compatible inputs, explicit acceptance criteria and complete outputs instead of choosing a model from a thumbnail or a minimum price.

There is no useful single ranking for every video task. A model that handles a restrained product shot may struggle with fast choreography, and a strong stylised clip does not prove documentary accuracy. Compare the scenes your project actually needs.
Define the task before selecting models
Write down the required action, source inputs, delivery format and non-negotiable details. Separate a scene from text, animation of a photograph and transfer of character movement; they need different input modes.
Choose available models that support those inputs. Keep the exact version name in your notes. A family name or a competitor feature list is not enough to establish the specification of a Most AI integration.
Keep the comparison fair
Use the same permitted sources and a common brief. Match duration, resolution and sound where supported. When the forms differ, document the difference rather than concealing it.
Set acceptance criteria before viewing the results: action order, identity, product geometry, camera path, text accuracy and usable sound. Review the entire clip at normal speed.
Use evidence with a known scope
Our Kling 4, Seedance 2.5 and Wan 3 comparison contains two scenes and one attempt per model per scene. It shows particular outputs and historical charges, not a statistically reliable success rate.
A wider project test should include several representative scenes and retained failed attempts. Do not turn a best-of montage or a single attractive frame into a general claim that one model always wins.
Choose a workflow, then monitor it
Include source preparation, rejected attempts and editing when comparing cost. A useful model is one that produces accepted footage within the constraints of your project, with limitations you can handle.
Keep the accepted prompt, sources and settings beside the file. Recheck availability and price when returning to the workflow; integrations and account conditions can change.
Choose a relevant model
Use the current model and settings in the studio. The total cost of a usable result includes attempts, source preparation and any finishing edits.
